HOA Meeting Minutes 24 November 2009

• Meeting called to order by Guy Ellis at 6:03pm
• General
  • Announced that this meeting was mostly a Q&A meeting for the community.
  • Asked community if we wanted the speed and no-trespass signs removed from the gate. The comments were that people were indifferent to whether we kept the signs or not.
  • Asked community if we wanted to remove the red curbing. Community would like to know what the cost of removing the red curbing would be.
  • Discussion about the number of scorpions in the community and a demonstration of how a blacklight can help find scorpions at night.
  • Provided business cards for Noah's Plumbing who has offered home owners a deal on getting water pressure to houses reduced.
• Landscaping (Guy Berry)
  • Gravel has been ordered to fill in where it's missing in the community.
  • The dead trees that have been removed will be replaced at some point. We will be getting a bulk quote.
  • Home owners felt that there were too many weeds in the community. It was asked if Sexton provided a summary list of what they had done after each visit. It was established that they do not but we will ask for one from now on.
  • Home owners mentioned that they would like quotes from other landscaping companies and were wondering why the previous board selected Sexton to do the landscaping even though there were not the least expensive quote.
• Gates
  • Home owner brought up the point that the sensor on the west gate is not sensitive enough. This will be looked into.
  • In the process of getting quotes for lights to light up Tatum Village sign outside the gate.
• Social
  • Winter party will be at the swimming pool on 5th December at 5pm.
• Other
  • General consensus that the meeting at the basketball court was a good idea and the community would like to see more of these.
• Meeting was adjourned at 6:42pm
